Being a politician in Kenya on the digital age is not easy. Records of pledges are easily pulled out and juxtaposed to what has been delivered. The days of standing at podiums and pledging to make mountains of ice on the blistering sun are all gone.
For instance, Kenyans on social media today took to Twitter to vent their frustrations and ridicule DP William Ruto for dividing Kenyans into tribal groupings, and for politicking over 2022 at the expense of development.
Using the hashtag #CongratulationsRuto, KOT has created mockery campaign posters for the second in command, listing his ‘achievements’ mentioning that they will vote for him in 2022.
Kenyans put DP Ruto to task criticizing him for only engaging in politics instead of assisting President Uhuru in realizing the Jubilee dream for Kenyans.
Visibly angry netizens have had enough of the corruption scandals in the country and are coming up with new brilliant hashtags to at least help in fighting the vice that has ailed Kenya for years.
Here are more comments on the hashtag;
Yeeessss! #CongratulationsRuto For being the worst ever Deputy president In kenya. You should now keep off 2022 succession talks and focus more on service delivery. It’s immoral and unacceptable to continue putting the country in an election mood. pic.twitter.com/lQ5YI5zEQk

He deserves a glass of champagne, for his involvement in the Sh39 billion arms scandal where he ensured Sergeant Kenei would never speak against him as he was meticulously murdered and made to appear as a suicide pic.twitter.com/gi9lvS1LPe— Amina Adam (@AminaAdam_s) July 14, 2020
Y’all remember how Ruto tried to grab the field of Langata Road Primary School and even sent rogue police officers to beat up and teargas school children? The grabbing was stopped after Uhuru intervened. Now imagine Ruto being the president!#CongratulationsRuto pic.twitter.com/VKa8Jd1D5d

Dear Ruto, you took us to MAU forest and promised to protect us from evictions. We told you that it looked like a water catchment area but ukasema wewe ndiye kusema. For your information, we were evicted and until now we haven’t heard from you.
