The Kikuyu Council of Elders has expressed concern over uncouth language being used by some politicians in public rallies.

Speaking in Ruaka inn Kiambu County, the elders led by Kikuyu council of elders chairman Wachira wa Kiago said there was a need for leaders to ensure decorum while addressing public meetings.

The council’s chairman said it was painful to see leaders making reckless statements and called on Kenyans to shun such behavior.

The elders further expressed their fear for the future generation saying 70 percent of the Kenyan population who are consuming such negative talks are youth and children who take what their leaders say as the gospel truth.
