The Political Parties Dispute Tribunal has ruled that the alleged expulsion of Senators Millicent Omanga, Naomi Waqo, Mary Yiane, Prengei Victor and Falhada Dekow from jubilee party was illegal, unlawful and a breach of the rules of natural justice and constitution.

The tribunal had earlier suspended the decision by Jubilee
Party to expel six senators pending the hearing and determination of an
application filed by the senators.

Chairperson Desma Nungo has further ordered the Registrar of
Political Parties not to remove the names of the senators from the membership
of Jubilee Party.

The court has directed Jubilee party to pay all the five senators
cost of the application for wrongful expulsion from the party.

Speaking to k24 digital, lawyer Hillary Sigei
representing the senators said he will file a demand to jubilee party to pay
over ksh 2Million for each senator as cost for the suit.

Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju had announced the
expulsions in February 2021 hours after Deputy President William Ruto met more
than 100 Tanagatanga MPs at his Karen residence.
