Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently emerged with an unusually fierce new hairstyle for the new year.

The 34-year old over the years has been associated with the classic fade hairstyle but it looks like the year 2020 will be a bit different for him.

Juventus have resumed training as the winter break comes to and end and the five-time Ballon’dor winner has made all necessary preparations for the matches to come – at least as far as his looks are concerned.

In photos accessed by TUKO.co.ke, Ronaldo rocks a small ponytail on his head which is quite honestly an interesting look.

The Portuguese superstar was controlling the ball in training while being overlooked by team mate Miralem Pjanic.

Footballers and hairstyles are rather synonymous, and most of the superstars usually try to look their best before they step on the pitch to entertain millions of fans worldwide.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is arguably one of the modern day hair footballing models as he practically comes in with a new do every new gameweek.

Ronaldo’s new hairstyle is not unique to the football world as a number of past and present legends have been associated with the swanky ponytail – some with bigger than others.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic who recently rejoined former club AC Millan, is one of the players who it is impossible to imagine without his ponytail.

Hopefully the new hairstyle will offer Ronaldo the much needed edge to help his Juventus side to their targets this season.

The Old Lady are under real threat to concede the Serie A title for the first time in seven years to Inter Millan, who are reborn under Antonio Conte.

They also face an uphill task in the Champions League and despite being in the round of 16, face the prospect of facing giants including Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid and defending Champions Liverpool en route to clinching Europe’s most coveted club trophy.
