CS Magoha acknowledges most improved candidates

The Education Cabinet Secretary has commended a number of candidates who registered outstanding results despite scoring below 270 marks in their KCPE exams. 

Sharon Cheptoo from Lelu Secondary School is the most improved candidate in the Rift Valley with a mean grade of A minus despite scoring 267 marks in her KCPE exams. 

Kelvin Mwangi Njoroge from Jehova Jireh Secondary School in Nairobi, scored 207 marks in his KCPE Exams but managed a B plain in results released Saturday. 

Boniface Wambua Mbilo who scored 241 marks in KCPE exams managed to get a B plain making him the most improved candidate from the coastal region. 

Others included Humphrey Mwangi Maina from 211 to getting a B, Simon Mavii Kituku who scored 221 in KCPE attained B and Kelvin Mwangi Njoroge from Jehova Jireh Secondary School in Nairobi, who scored 207 marks in his KCPE Exams getting a B plain.

Among the most improved schools in performance included: Arabuko Forest High School, Graceland Boys Senior School, Mama Malia Academy School, Uhuru Secondary School and Lemek Namunyak Girls Secondary School which is in the Rift Valley region.

The CS however noted that there was a decline in the overall subject performance with only 11 subjects recording a significant improvement compared to 19 subjects that recorded a significant improvement in performance in 2020.
