The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released the names and pictures of eight wanted terror suspects believed to be armed and dangerous.

The detectives said Mohamed Ali Hussein together with Ahmed Ali Mohamed was part of a foiled Al-Shabaab planned attack in 2018.

He was arrested while planning to carry out an Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) and later managed to escape and returned to Somalia.

Abdikadir Mohamed Abdikadir has been linked to Al-Qaeda militants in Yemen. He was involved in the planning of Dusit attack and 2010 Kampala bombings.

Peter Gichungu a former JKUAT student was arrested in Mandera enroute to join the Al-Shabaab. He was prosecuted and later released two years ago and after a brief stay he later successfully traveled to Somalia to join Al-Shabaab accompanied by his girlfriend.

Kassim Musa Mwarusi aka Abu Miki, is suspected of radicalizing youth in Likoni, Diani and Ukunda areas, Mombasa County and has associations with several criminal gangs in the said areas.
