Deputy President William Ruto has delved int the changes that were made in parliament yesterday which saw his allies kicked out of key government positions.
Taking to Twitter on 16 Jul 2020, DP Ruto gave the way forward, acknowledging that the changes which saw Orange Democratic Movement and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Kieleweke faction of Jubilee seize control of committees that are deemed important in ensuring that the Building Bridges Initiative report is implemented, culminating in a referendum have indeed been made
Quoting the Bible, Ruto urged the lawmakers to move above yesterday’s events and join hands in working together for the progress of Kenya.
“With the
changes in parliamentary leadership including committee membership and
leadership now concluded I urge all MPs not to be divided back to work together
in serving the people,” Ruto wrote.
Quoting Col.3:23,
the DP added that “Whatever you
do coma work at it with all your heart coma as working for God coma not human
Masters”.
Yesterday’s changes saw MPs allied to president Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga take key positions in committees that are is crucial in the implementation of the building bridges initiative report.
Those opposed to the report were either kicked out
or moved to other Communities that will not influence the implementation of the
report in a move that analysts say will give a Uhuru and Odinga an easy time.
Rebel Jubilee MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto recently decamped from Jubilee party headquarters based along Thika superhighway to a new office dubbed the Jubilee Asili Center in protest.
Apparently cornered, DP Ruto who was initially opposed to the building
bridges initiative report made a U-turn and mobilized his troops to back up the
report.
