Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday evening visited ailing Starehe MP Charles Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar, at a Nairobi hospital where he is admitted following knee surgery.

According to pictures seen by K24 Digital of the visit, the DP, who was in the company of his allies, is seen having a conversation with the MP who is lying on a hospital bed.

The Starehe legislature underwent surgery on his right foot on Monday morning after experiencing pain for some days.

DP Ruto’s visit aimed at wishing the MP a quick recovery as he recuperates from the operation.

Leaders who accompanied the DP during the visit include, Nixon Korir (Lang’ata), George Theuri (Embakasi West), Mohammed Ali (Nyali), Hon John Kiarie (Dagoretti South) and Hon Yusuf Hassan (Kamukunji).

Musician
DK Kwenye Beat on Monday told K24 Digital that the MP was responding well to
the medication following the surgery.

He said the knee issue has been troubling the MP for a long time and that this is not the first time he sought medical help to have the issue solved.

“He has
been having this knee issue for some days now. He went to India for treatment
but the problem keeps coming. So, we booked him for surgery on Sunday and he
was operated on today morning,” he said.

Video of the
MP being wheeled in a hospital stretcher inside the city hospital was first
shared by DK Kwenye Beat on his Instagram page.

The musician
allayed fears that the MP could be in critical condition saying he is stable.
He urged members of the public not to worry.

K24
Digital was not authorized to reveal the name of the hospital where he is
recuperating from.

Jaguar
first injured his foot in a standoff that ensued between Nairobi City councils
Askaris and traders at Muthurwa market 3 years ago.

The incident saw him admitted to The Karen Hospital where he was treated and later discharged.
