Driver of MP Elijah Memusi’s Wife Miraculously Survives Fatal Crash With Minor Injuries

Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi is mourning the death of his wife, Stella Memusi, in a road accident this morning, 31st May.

She was killed when her driver rammed a truck that had been abandoned in the middle of the road.

The accident occurred near Isinya Township on the Nairobi-Namanga highway.

“It is unfortunate that life was lost in the accident that occurred at 23:10am. It is sad. I want to urge all road users to take personal responsibility for protecting themselves and others.

“If a vehicle stalls on the road it is prudent and mandatory for you to put road signs that alert other motorists of danger ahead. It is uncouth and inhumane to just leave a vehicle along the road and endanger other road users, especially at night when visibility is not clear,” Kajiado Police Commander Muthuri Mwongera said.

The driver escaped with minor injuries despite the heavy damage on their vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for checkups.

Stella was on her way to their rural home in Kajiado.

The lawmaker has been received overwhelming support from colleagues, family, friends and supporters.
