Farmers call for subsidized fertilizer

Rising global fertilizer prices, has turned the pressure on farmers ahead of the plating season. This is because high energy costs and tight supplies around the world has led to high cost of products. Some residents of Trans Nzoia County have called on the government to subsidize the cost of fertilizer and other farm inputs to cushion them from high cost of production.
