The father of 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations top candidate, Magata Bruce Mackenzie, has spoken following the star performance of his son.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, March 28, the elated Jared Magata noted that he expected stellar performance from his son but he did not expect him to be number one countrywide.
Bruce, a student at Gilgil Hills Academy, emerged top with 428 marks out of the possible 500 marks.
Magata noted that his son wanted to join Alliance High School and pursue a career in Aeronautical Engineering later on in life.
“I am in Kisii and I am so happy. I expected he would pass but did not think he would be number one. Bruce is in Ongata Rongai. I think he already knows but his phone is busy, I am not able to reach him.
“I planned for him to join Alliance. I talked to him to get the dream school. His dream is Aeronautical Engineering. He is not so much into medicine,” stated the elated father.
During the announcement, Bruce was followed by Momanyi Ashley Kerubo from Makini School who scored 427 marks as well as Kuoma Charity Buyanzi from Holy Family Misikhu Girls Primary School who got 426 marks.
To round up the top five, Mbugua Sharon Wairimu from Emmanuel Springs posted 426 marks followed by Muteti Shantel Ndinda from Kitengela International School with 426 marks.
