Form one learners are expected to report to their respective schools from tomorrow Wednesday.
Initially, they were supposed to report Tuesday but the date was changed after the government declared May 3rd a public holiday to mark Eid al Fitr.
Over 1.2 million learners are expected to join secondary schools following the completion of their 2021 KCPE exams in early March.
Some 38,797 KCPE candidates will be enrolled in national schools, 214,960 in extra county schools while 258,456 will join county schools.
Another 726,311 students will have been admitted to sub-county schools while 2,045 have been placed in special needs schools.
Some parents are opposed to the reporting schedule which they claimed is short and appealed for an extension of the deadline given by school heads.
Education cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha while announcing KCPE results warned headteachers against imposing unwarranted demands on Form one students when they report.
