FOUR TRADERS CHARGED WITH ILLEGAL REFILLING OF GAS CYLINDERS.

Four have been charged with illegally refilling LPG cylinders without authority from brand owners.

Yahya Adan Ali, Peter Kithuka, Simon Gichuhi Abdi Maalin Ali and Mustafa Adan Ali are accused of trading and dealing with LPG cylinders of another licensee for gain without a written consent from the brand owners.

It is alleged that they were found with some 50 LPG gas cylinders without authority from brand owners on May 26 this year.

The traders were allegedly selling the gas at Salama Gas Limited storage and filling facility located at Embakasi area.

Peter Kithuka was charged with transporting liquefied petroleum gas without valid license from Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority.

Milimani Resident Magistrate Caroline Nyagi ordered their release after posting cash bail of Sh50,000.
