Senator Gideon Moi and DP Ruto at the funeral of late Jonathan Moi
Baringo Senator Gideon Moi continues to expand his African network even as he firmly makes a steady rise in country’s politics. The KANU Chair was selected by President Uhuru Kenyatta to head the Kenyan delegation to the South African country, for President Chakwera’s innauguration.
While delivering his message of goodwill, the Baringo Senator urged the newly elected Chakwera to continue bringing together the people of Malawi, especially at this time of COVID-19.
“May you stand together, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives to you to see the right. May you strive on to finish the work you are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for the widows, the orphans, the elderly, and all needy persons in your country,” Senator Moi said.
On the other hand, Deputy President William Ruto has retreated to his Sugoi home in a move likely to be interpreted as firming his Rift Valley support. Ruto, who has been deflated in the last three months by a ruthless President Uhuru Kenyatta seems to have changed tact after his allies decided to run away.
