Good And Bad News: Kilifi Deputy Governor Recovers, To Be Arrested And Charged.

A mixture of good and bad news marked Thursday’s Coronavirus updates released by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe.

In his briefing to the media, he announced that Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi had made a full recovery from Coronavirus.

Speaking at Afya House, Mutahi stated that the DG had been declared fit after being subjected to three tests.

“All the tests turned negative. Naturally, the issue of the law will now follow up with him,” Mutahi stated.G

Saburi had tested positive on Sunday, March 22, weeks after arriving in the country from Germany via Amsterdam on March 6.

He refused to self-isolate and came into contact with a number of people, which caused an uproar among Kenyans.

Saburi is reported to have met a group of MCAs on March 7 at Royal Hotel in Mazeras to discuss preparations for International Women’s Day celebrations that were to be held in Rabai.

He also attended the burial of the late former Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto’s bodyguard on the same date and was reportedly sighted at a night club in Bamburi, Mombasa on March 19.

Kenyans are waiting with bated breaths to follow the events that are bound to happen.
