There’s a famous quote that goes, “Learn to enjoy spending time with yourself. That way, you’ll never truly be alone.” Spending time with yourself can be a source of healing and growth. Getting time to breathe, think, learn, exercise and meditate can help you be smarter, healthier and more energetic and creative.

We bring you some of our favourite looks to set you in the mood for introspection.

1. Treat yourself to a long bath or shower after exfoliating and deep conditioning your hair.

2. Set a fitness goal. Whether it’s jogging for 30 minutes a day or learning yoga or Zumba, find something that gets your blood pumping.

3. Create some art. Put together an outfit. Make a piece of jewellery. Decorate a cake. Do something creative to give you a fresh perspective on life. 

4. Write a letter. Yes, a real letter to yourself. Tell yourself what you want to accomplish and what would make you happy. 

5. Dance. Put on some music and find your rhythm. Why not even dress up for it? Do something that helps you feel carefree.
