Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Abdi Guyo has been thrown into morning after losing kin in road tragedy.

Guyo’s brother, his wife, their two children and another relative died following the accident.

The ugly accident happened along the Nanyuki-Isiolo highway. They were traveling to Nairobi.

The cause of the accident was not immediately revealed.

This comes days after Guyo received a nod to run for the Isiolo gubernatorial post. He had initially shown interest in the Embakasi East parliamentary seat.

However, Isiolo Governor Mohamed Kuti endorsed Guyo to succeed after dropping his re-election bid on medical grounds.

Kuti has been ailing since December last year.
