Huduma Centres across the country resumed normal operations on Friday, July 3 after a 3-month hiatus following the outbreak of COVID-19.
Most services offered by Huduma Centres countrywide were
scaled down, when Huduma Kenya announced disruption of operations on March 18,
2020 to avert further spread of coronavirus.
On March 19, Huduma Kenya said in a statement that its
centres countrywide would only deal with citizens seeking to collect processed
identity cards and processed birth certificates.
And, after 106 days of discontinuing normal services, Huduma
Kenya now says they are back!
In Nairobi, the five centres; GPO on Haile Selassie Avenue,
City Square, Eastleigh, Makadara and Kibra will offer the following services:
issuance of certificate of good conduct, IDs, police abstract, birth
certificates and KRA services.
However, other Huduma Centres across the country, besides
the ones in Nairobi, will not be able to offer certificate of good conduct
services.
Huduma Kenya advises Kenyans to observe COVID-19 safety
measures while accessing the facilities.
