The artiste, who took a hiatus to raise her two kids in Mombasa, has released two songs this year, all under Tierra Roll Music, directed by Andreas, who is out of the country.
“Corona must go away! One of Africa’s biggest music festivals, Nyege Nyege, has teamed up with Kenyan event organising camp, Shrap Nite, to host this year’s edition of the festival. With more than 20 collectives involved in this co-creative driven initiative, the festival will be held both virtually with a physical version taking place over four days, from September 3.
Shrap Nite is an event organisation company owned and managed by Kenyan urban rap group ADF, which will represent the Kenyan stage in this year’s party. “It’s going to be a historic moment for the world as this gig will transform how festivals can be done in light of a pandemic. Most festivals have been postponed to next year, but this one will be virtual, and then hopefully a low-key bash will go down. I’m just proud to be part of this and to say we did it.” ADF CEO Musau Mumo told Standard Entertainment & Lifestyle.
