A man had been charged with obtaining latex examination gloves worth Sh 8 million by impersonating a health official from a renowned NGO.
Moses Jima Wabwile appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi where he denied impersonating an AMREF Health Africa official and stealing the goods.
The court heard that he conspired to obtain goods, which belonged to St John Ambulance.
The charges stated that he committed the offense jointly with others not before court.
Wabwile is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between February 4 and 8, 2022 at an unknown place.
The accused is also charged with stealing 5,000 packets of the Latex examination gloves valued at Sh4 million.
The court heard that the accused committed the offense on 4th February 2022 at St John Ambulance office in Nairobi.
The court directed him to post a bond of Sh3 million with one surety of a similar amount, to secure his release.
He was given an alternative of paying cash bail of Sh 2 million and provide one contact person.
