The body of murdered Rongo University student Sharon Otieno was dumped in Kodera Forest, a judge hearing the trial of three men among them Migori governor Okoth Obado has been told.
Chief Inspector Lilian Saka told trial Judge Justice Cecilia Githua that upon visiting the scene on September 8, 2018 she and her colleagues collected several items which included two used condom, bottle top, stained jacket and stained underwear.
The officer that items were collected and taken to Oyugis police station and later the officers proceeded to Lachuanyo hospital where government chief Pathologist Johansen Odour conducted post-mortem on the body.
Giving evidence while being led by Assistant Director of Public Prosecution Catherine Mwaniki, the officer said they later visited the hotel where the late Sharon had a meeting with a journalist, they discovered that Obado’s co-accused Michael Oyamo had visited the hotel.
She said Oyamo visited Russia hotel in Rongo Sub-county and later walked away with Sharon.
Obado is charged alongside Oyamo and Casper Obiero with the murder of Sharon and her unborn baby.
