A section of Jubilee Party aspirants in Nyandarua County have intensified their campaigns ahead of the forthcoming party primaries.
The aspirants led by former Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki said they are out to popularize the party in the region.
The former CS is eyeing to clinch the Nyandarua Gubernatorial seat to ouster Governor Francis Kimemia on a Jubilee party ticket.
Speaking while on a campaign trail in various stopovers within Ndaragwa Constituency, Jubilee party aspirants led by Sicily have expressed their commitment to strengthen the party and also ensure it clinches most of the seats in the coming August 9th General Election.
They said the Jubilee Party was committed to preach peace and shun statements that would incite or trigger conflicts as political temperatures continue to rise.
Meanwhile, Jubilee Party aspirants in Laikipia North Constituency, Laikipia County opposed consensus as the party’s preferred method for picking candidates.
Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has explained why the ruling party opted to have negotiated democracy in their nominations.
Kioni said despite the party shunning the process previously, it has turned out to be one of the best ways to deal with diversity as a country.
