The 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education examination (KCPE) results will be out next week.

Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha Friday announced that marking had entered home stretch.

The CS said candidates will know how they performed any time from Wednesday adding that releasing the results early will enable parents to start planning for their children who are expected to join form one next term.

The three-day exam period saw 1.2 million candidates take the national exams in 28,248 exam centres across the country and be supervised by 242,406 teachers assigned by the Teachers Service Commission. The 2021 class is expected to join Form One in May.

The 2021 KCPE exams were delayed as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

At the same time, the ongoing KCSE theory entered the fifth day Friday with the Education boss monitoring the Chemistry practical paper at Alliance High School where he later commissioned a new CBC classroom at the facility.

Thereafter he proceeded to Kanyariri High School in Kiambu County where he opened another CBC class.

Addressing the media, Magoha said the CBC Infrastructure is 85 per cent complete.

The government aims to construct 10,000 classrooms before the end of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure with 4,000 classrooms in Phase one of the project already complete.

The second phase will commence immediately after the KCSE exams later next month.
