Heavy goods vehicles were asked to compulsorily use the Rironi-Mai Mahiu- Naivasha route (A8 South) while other vehicles use the Rironi-Naivasha (A8) route.
The Authority highlighted that all the traffic from Naivasha to Nakuru routes and any other local traffic converged, hence, the traffic surge was considerable in this stretch.
“KeNHA encourages motorists to use the above alternative routes between Nairobi and Nakuru whenever convenient to avoid traffic snarl-up in Naivasha as it endeavors to provide an efficient, safe and reliable network.”
