Kenya COVID-19 cases increase to 8,250

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe

The country’s COVID-19 trends maintained an upward trajectory on Tuesday after 183 new infections were reported.

According to the latest figures released by Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new infections were detected from 2,061 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

The CS who was speaking during the daily briefing, a day after the President announced phased re-opening of the country appealed to Kenyans to take individual responsibility to flatten the curve.

“We have now entered a new phase in the war against Coronavirus pandemic in the country. As we visit our parents at home with supplies, let us also include masks and sanitizers and soap for handwashing, and ensure we adhere to the laid down protocols: CS Mutahi Kagwe”, the CS said.
