A team from the Directorate of Chaplaincy and Counselling at the Kenya Police Service Headquarters led by Reverend John Nzioki SSP held Psychoeducation and Counselling sessions with police officers and their families at Kangundo Police Station, Kangundo Sub-County.

The day’s program aptly themed ‘Spiritual and Psychosociology Nourishment’ enlightened officers on how to cope with family issues, life in service and after retirement. Officers further gained knowledge on spiritual, emotional and financial growth.

The counselling program, which was conducted jointly with Machakos County Police Counseling team, was attended by officers drawn from Kangundo Sub-County led by the area Sub-county Police Commander Mr. Changach.

NPS commends the Chaplaincy and Counseling teams for their efforts in promoting the well-being of officers and their families through education and counseling programs, as we address the mental health concerns of police officers in the country.
