Kenya’s COVID-19 hit 23,878 after 671 test positive – KBC

The Ministry of Health has announced 671 more COVID-19 cases raising the tally to 23,878 in the country.

The new cases announced by Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe come from a sample size of 6200 that were taken for testing.

Out of the 671, 633 are Kenyans while 38 are foreign nationals.

In terms of age, the youngest is a three-year-old while the oldest is 94 years.

The country has lost three patients due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of fatalities to 391.

On a good note, 603 patients have recovered from various health facilities in the country bringing the total number of recoveries to 9,930.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe at the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital to officially open the Infectious Disease Unit (IDU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

The Kenyatta University and Referral Hospital has installed a 500-bed capacity. Out that, 60 beds will be used for ICU and HDU.
