Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria Wilfred Machage is dead

Kenya’s High Commissioner Wilfred Machage is dead.

The former Migori Senator and Assistant Minister was based in Kenyan Consulate in Nigeria until his demise.

His family has confirmed that he lost the battle to a short illness.

However, his twin brother, Sospeter Machage, did not detail the cause of death.

Machage started his political career as a Member of Parliament representing Kuria Constituency from 2002 to 2017.

He had announced his retirement from politics when he was appointed as High Commissioner.

“I have retired from elective politics. I have served my people long enough, and I think it is time to move on to other things,” said Machage.
