The Director of Public Prosecution will inform court whether they will remove Keroche Breweries Director Joseph Karanja from the Sh 14 billion tax evasion proceedings on 14th June 2022.
This is after his lawyer James Orengo told Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Kimilu that Karanja has been very ill and seeking treatment at Karen hospital.
Karanja is charged alongside his wife and Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja.
Orengo asked the court to remove him from the proceedings and let Tabitha continue appearing in the case.
“We want Karanja to be removed from the proceedings so that the case can proceeds so that the matter can proceed,” Orengo told the court.
