The ruling Jubilee party Kieleweke function allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta have been sent into panic mode after reports emerged that the party is broke.

Following the ongoing purge in the party that ha seen the Deputy President William Ruto’s men ousted from plum posts in both the National Assembly and the Senate, those who were kicked out or demoted from powerful positions have joined forces oppose to regain the party’s control or bring it down completely if they fail to regain the control.

Tangatanga function allied to the second in command has launched its systems against the Kieleweke brigade allied to the President who is now in full control of the ruling party.

The Jubilee Party deputy Secretary-general informed the party’s Secretary-general Raphael Tuju to avail financial records of the party from the year 2018 up the year 2020.

The Auditor-General declared the party has to be technically insolvent following the latest audit reports for the financial year ending June 30, 2018.

The Auditor General report has also disclosed tremendous misuse of finances which has left the party bankrupt.

“… financial statement for the year ended June 30, 2018, reflects current liabilities balance of Sh133,558,229 which exceeds current assets of Sh67,278,244 by Sh66,279,985 thus the party is technically bankrupt,” the Auditor General report reads in part.

As per the Political Parties Act of 2011, the political party that has been declared bankrupt should be dissolved and Tangatanga brigade might use this report to bring down the ruling party as they vowed earlier on.
