Kimani Ichung’wah Receives Praises After Renouncing His Position in National Assembly Budget Committee

Kikuyu Member of parliament Kimani Ichung’wah has received a heap of praises from a section of Kenyans after his move to relinquish his position as the Parliamentary Budget Committee chairman.

Taking to his Facebook page, Ichung’wah renounced his position which he had been heading for the last three years.

This morning in my last budget committee meeting that i have chaired for the last three years. This marking the last meeting of the Budget 2020/21 Estimates engagements, I have in a very special manner conveyed my appreciation to the entire membership of the Committee for the confidence they exhibited in my leadership of the committee since 2017,” reads Ichung’wah’s post in part.

Ichung’wah also took the opportunity to thanked the residences of Kikuyu constituency for giving him a chance to work for the country at the budget committee level.

The lawnaker also assured to render possible support to next person who will selected to chair of the budget committee.

“I leave the office shortly with his head high and grateful to have served with honor, dignity, high sense of integrity and professionalism,” Ichung’wah assured.
