However, it has emerged, the move was aimed at creating the powerful position of manager corporate planning and strategic.

Jacob Ruwa

Already, Ruwa and Gathika with the help of human resource and administration department designed the application to favour one of their favourite applicants. Instead of engaging an independent body to recruit, the application to be made directly of the executive director office is now raising eyebrows.
Manager corporate planning and strategy was advertised under Ref No 2019-1. All applications were to reach the board not later than 5pm on June 7 2019.

The post is powerful as the occupier will work under executive director and lead the coordination and implementation of initiatives, provide management and board of directors with information and make reports to guide decision making.
A postgraduate degree in Business and Strategic Planning as one of the qualification was aimed at favouring Ruwa’s choice.
Apart from Ruwa and Gathika, other managers are Margaret Ogai (planning and programming), David Orwenyo (technical compliance) George Juma (communication technology) and George Waithaka (chain management).
Insiders say that the position was created to clip powers of managers who are not close to Ruwa more so, those who happen to be engineers.
