English Premier League champions Liverpool confirmed eight players including Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana are set to leave the club when their contracts expire.
The duo are among six other players who are not in Liverpool’s long term plans and could leave Anfield as early as July.
Clyne joined the Reds from Southampton in 2015, while 32-year-old Lallana moved to the Reds in 2014, also from the Saints.
The England international will now depart Liverpool on June 30 as his contract was not renewed, but Lallana on the other hand completed a short-term extension and will now remain at the club until the end of this Premier League campaign.
Other players to leave the club are Andy Lonergan, Kai McKenzie-Lyle, Daniel Atherton, Isaac Christie-Davies and Jack Walls.
Following the confirmed departures, a Liverpool fan identified as Tony sensationally begged the Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp to sign Arsenal star Mesut Ozil whom he sees as a good addition to boost the club’s midfield.
Klopp and his men are won their first Premier League title in 30 years and they did so in impressive fashion after establishing a 23 point gap at the top.
Liverpool confirmed their Premier League champion status without kicking a ball on Thursday after Chelsea did them a huge favor against Manchester City.
Frank Lampard and his wards went into the encounter with their morale boosted and they did themselves lot of good by beating the reigning Premier League champions who finished the match with 10 men.
