President Uhuru Kenyatta’s journey from State House to Uhuru Gardens Memorial Park was broadcasted live by all major televisions in the country. However, they were getting the live feed from the State House media team.
Along the Lang’ata Road, the camera person curiously shifted attention from the presidential motorcade to a billboard bearing the image of Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua.
The camera operator even zoomed to bring a clear picture of the billboard. This raised eyebrows.
Supporters of Azimio la Umoja argued what Kenyans saw on the screen was a signal that President Kenyatta will have over power to Raila.
However, Deputy President William Ruto’s diehards protested, hitting out at the State for using a national event to campaign for a certain candidate.
But why should this be a surprise when the Head of State has already endorsed the former Prime Minister?
