ODM leader Raila Odinga’s wife Mama Ida Odinga has met the boy who designed a State House sketch for the former Prime Minister.

The State House dummy was presented to Raila during a rally at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County a week ago.

However, the young artiste did not get to meet the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate.

“I have made several artworks such as buses and I have even made a model of my dream house but the ‘State House’ was my biggest project.

“When I shared the vision of constructing the ‘State House’ with my mum, she was impressed but she told me that it would not be possible because she did not have money for the materials,” he said.

Masten Wellington Otieno said he was discouraged after his piece of work was returned to him after the rally. He requested to meet the former Premier to deliver the gift to him.

But due to Raila’s tight campaign schedules, he could not meet Mama Ida.

She gave the Form Three student biscuits and suits as a token of appreciation.

Mama Ida also promised to sponsor his education.

“I commit to ensuring that Wellington & other talented children like him stay in school,” she wrote on her social media pages.
