Narc Kenya party leader and Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Coalition’s deputy nominee Martha Karua has welcomed back Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to their coalition.
In a tweet on Thursday evening, 2nd June, Karua said that she was looking forward to working with the former Vice president.
Karua stated that she was not able to get back to Nairobi on time for the Mukuru Kwa Njenga rally.
“Welcome home my brother and friend Kalonzo Musyoka. Looking forward to working together under the leadership of our captain Raila Odinga on this final lap,” she said.
“Was not able to make it back to Nairobi on time for the rally but my heart was with you.”
Musyoka dropped his presidential bid and came back to the Azimio Coalition after accepting the Chief Cabinet Secretary position offered by Raila Odinga.

He indicated that he arrived at the decision following extensive consultations with his party officials.
“After wide consultation with party leadership, the clergy and the professionals, I have decided to accept with humility and appreciation my nomination as the Chief Minister in the Azimio One Kenya Coalition when we form the next government,” Kalonzo told the presser on Thursday.
He announced that he has deferred his bid and will fully support the Raila Odinga-Martha Karua ticket.
“Beginning today, I commit myself to Azimio-OKA campaigns because we are in this race to win; we have no option,” he stated.
He further lauded Karua on her nomination as Raila’s running mate and potentially the first female Deputy President in Kenya.
“I also wish to congratulate my learned sister, the Honorable Martha Karua, Senior Counsel, on the nomination as the Deputy President Nominee for the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party. And I want to assure Martha of my full and unequivocal support and that ticket with Raila Odinga,” he intimated.
