Exiled lawyer and author Miguna Miguna has finally removed his signature cap and showed off his partially bald head after years of covering it.

Many of his followers on social media and supporters of his political and social activism have been demanding and longing to see his head without a cap for many years and the Canadian-based barrister finally gave in to their wishes.

A visibly ageing Miguna shared the rare pictures on his Facebook page on Saturday, July 1, perhaps to usher a new month.

“Promises made, promises kept. Despots and their zombies have been demanding to see my head. Here it is. I celebrate Hezekiah Ochuka Raballa Day – August 1st – and join his family in demanding the location and exhumation of his remains for a proper burial,” he said in the caption that accompanied the photos.

Many Kenyans have been demanding to know why the combative lawyer always had his cap on even in official functions and events.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko once cracked up Kenyans when he alleged the exiled author head cuts on his head which he sustained while engaging in a thievery activity.

Sonko made the hilarious comment during the Nairobi country gubernatorial debate which Miguna participated as one of the contestants.

The then Nairobi senator challenged Miguna to take off the cap and prove to Kenyans that he did not have the injuries on his head.

The lawyer, however, downplayed Sonko’s assertions and proceeded to address other issues, leaving Kenyans with suspicion.

Three years down the line, the former aide to ODM leader Raila Odinga has come out to show the public what he has been covering with the cap for all those years they have known him.

While many were excited to see his head, others saw an opportunity to throw jibes at him.

Miguna has lately been opening up and sharing his photos and those of his family, especially the wife, on social media.

He recently left tongues wagging after he posted photos that showed him worn out and slightly weaker than he used to be.

The barrister, however, dismissed the concerns expressed by his followers saying he was checking on his weight.
