Mike Sonko reveals who wanted to assassinate MP Yusuf Hassan

On that day, unidentified assailants hurled a hand grenade at Hassan as he emerged from a mosque in Kamukunji constituency.

The December 2012 Grenada attack killed 8 people and severely injured the MP. Hassan said the attack left him crippled for long and left many families affected and hence need to investigate the claims.

He asked former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to provide more information to police on what he knows about the incident.

This is after Sonko claimed on his Twitter that he knew people behind the grenade attack.

“I take the claims very seriously and that is why I am here to ask police to work on these claims,” he said.

Police said they are investigating the new claims and that the file is still open. The police intend to summon Sonko over the claims.

The public need to get into the bottom of this, anything related to terrorism must be brought into the light. Such allegations are more serious & deserves full investigation

This comes after multiple cases of Police brutality and cold blood murders in the hands of cops rise all over the country
