– Jose Mourinho has lashed out at Arsenal following their comments over Sheffield United defeat
– Tottenham suffered a 3-1 defeat at Bramall Lane in a massive blow to their top four hopes
– Mourinho says the Gunners have little to celebrate since they last won the EPL in 2004
Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has lashed out at city rivals Arsenal after his side’s defeat to Sheffield United on Thursday, July 2.
The Lilywhites were condemned to a 3-1 defeat at the Bramall Lane with Harry Kane’s late minute strike emerging as a mere consolation at the end of the match.
Mikel Arteta’s men had gone to the same venue four days earlier and secured victory over the Blades in their FA Cup quarterfinal clash.
And after Spurs’ disappointing defeat, the Emirates Stadium outfit captioned the highlight of their victory over Wilder’s men on Facebook: “It’s not easy beating Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.”
The Portuguese-born tactician then returned the favour saying Arsenal have little “to celebrate” since they have not won the Premier League title since 2004.

Mourinho further stated that: “You only enjoy the problems of others when you are also in trouble,”
As it stands, the Gunners are just a point better than Tottenham in seventh on the table with five games to go.
Arsenal last lifted a title in 2017 while Tottenham’s managed to reach their first Champions League final last year – about 11 years after winning the League Cup in 2008.
