South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro has sent tongues wagging with his statement that many have interpreted to mean that he will not be in William Ruto’s camp and 2022.
Addressing mourners at Ekona in Chitago Borabu ward in the constituency during the burial of Isaac Makori Mang’era, Osoro said that since Uhuru Kenyatta will be retiring and age will not favour Raila Odinga, Fred Matiang’i will be the ideal candidate to lead Kenyans.

CS Matiang’i

MCAs in the area led by Moticho ward representative Evans Mokoro have ganged up against Osoro for allegedly disrespecting Matiang’i during a function in Nyamira county presided over by the Ruto where he allegedly referred to Matiang’i as a stray dog turning against the owner and asked the Abagusii community to curse him.
Other MCAs present were Andrew Kimonge ( Chitago/Borabu), Daniel Apepo (Tabaka) and James Ngisa (Bogetenga) who said that Matiang’i is the torchbearer of the Abagusii community and Osoro is a barking dog in the forest.

Chaos erupted as the MP’s supporters turned against the MCAs and switched off the microphone with Kimonge who was the master of ceremony having difficult moments calming down the situation forcing the ward reps to leave before the funeral ceremony could come to an end.
When he rose to address the mourners, Osoro joined the chorus of leaders who included his opponent during the last general elections Dennis Makori alias Sonko, in rallying their support behind Matiang’i saying that there is no time he ever insulted the cabinet secretary as it has been alleged.

He said that following his election as the area MP, it was Matiang’i who introduced him to Ruto whom he has discovered to be generous and ready to contribute to projects in the constituency which is largely lagging behind in development terms.
He said that the only difference he has with Matiang’i is his failure to secure employment for locals including his closest friend, Josephat Sagero whom he has been sending to represent him in funerals and giving false pledges to schools in the area.
He added that as Kisiis, leaders must speak one language politically but as a person, he is demanding for service delivery which he is reminding Matiang’i of.
Osoro also said that he saved Matiang’i from an attempt to have him impeached by some MPs who had started collecting signatures.
