Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has urged the people of Bomet to rally behind their region leader Deputy President William Ruto and support his bid to the man.
Mudavadi said the region which is perceived as a stronghold of DP Ruto should lead by example during the elections in August.
He spoke when he led the Kenya Kwanza alliance for Bomet County Bottom Up economic Forum at Fairhill Hotel.
He said Bomet residents must ensure that DP Ruto wins in the first round to avoid a run off which would be costly for the Country.
The forum gave Bomet residents a platform to highlight the issues them and which Kenya kwanza should prioritize if elected.
Mudavadi said they will address the high cost of living that has made a majority of Kenyans beggars saying the current regime has completely neglected the common mwananchi.
Bomet Governor Prof. Hillary Barchok lauded the Kenya Kwanza team for the initiative saying involving the residents on governance is a major achievement.
He promised to partner with the team to actualise some of the projects and initiatives suggested by the residents to improve their livelihood.
His sentiment were echoed by Gatundu South MO Moses Kuria and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa who vowed to traverse the Country to popularise DP Ruto’s presidential bid.
Kuria said DP Ruto is the best suited to complete President Uhuru’s development project having worked with him for ten years.
He implored on the residents of Bomet to come out in large numbers and support one of their own in the forthcoming election.
