Renowned singer Ringtone Apoko has finally broken his
silence after being involved in a scuffle with blogger Robert Alai.
Taking to his Instagram page where he shared video footage of his message, the blogger was full of gratitude to his fans and doctors for wishing him good health.
He revealed that he had just left Kenyatta Hospital where he underwent a P3 examination.
“I want to thank all Kenyans who have Prayed for me after the assault and attack. I want to also thank the doctors of Kenyatta National Hospital for working on me. I just want to ask my fans to continue to pray for me,” he said.
He says he will seek further medication from his personal doctor.
On his confrontation with Alai, Ringtone said he will let
the law take its course on the matter and urged his fans to continue praying
for him.
“I am a law-abiding citizen and I will wait for the law to take its course. Continue praying for me. Thank You and God bless you all,” he stated.
The singer is seen with a bandage on a section of his face while his right hand also appears to have been hurt as a result of the scuffle.
His statement came minutes after blogger Alai was arrested
in connection to their standoff and taken to Kilimani Police Station where he
is being held.
The scuffle is said to have begun after Alai’s Subaru car
rammed into Ringtone’s car resulting in a fierce exchange that led to the
singer being hurt on the right side of his face.
In a video that has since gone viral, Ringtone is seen
oozing blood on the right side of his head.
The singer is also seen protesting against the blogger’s
action while standing on the right side of his Ranger Rover.
“Kwa nini ananipiga, Kwa nini ananipiga…Haijalishi…Kwa nini
ananipiga. Ata Kama nimekosa anachukua Sheria Mkononi,” Ringtone is heard
saying
Sources say the incident began at Loitoktok Road and spread
to Dennis Pritt and Likoni Roads.
