Mutua Ditches Azimio For DP Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking in Nairobi on Monday, 9th May the Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader stated that the sidelining in Azimio led to the distinctive decision.

He stated that the Maendeleo party was excluded in decision makings in Azimio as well as exclusion from campaign funds not forgetting the roles which will be granted to the Party after election victory.

The outgoing governor accused the Azimio coalition of dishonesty.

“According to our new constitution, you cannot force people to be in a relationship they do not want to be in,” said Mutua.

“I will traverse this country to campaign for Ruto as I believe he is the best person to move the country forward.”

He said they agreed with Ruto on zero zoning meaning that his party will be allowed to field candidates in all parts of the county.

“All our aspirants will be on the ballot. We also agreed on the role we’ll play when Kenya Kwanza wins and vice versa.”

Mutua said that the party believes Deputy President William Ruto is the best to liberate Kenyans from the york of poverty.

The Deputy President has since welcomed the governor to the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

“The people of Kenya have rejected blackmail, deceit, and conmanship in our politics. Those who’ve taken our country hostage using patronage, force and impunity watajua hawajui na Wakenya hawapangwingwi. Karibu Gov Alfred Mutua and MCC party to Kenyan Kwanza family, the Hustler Nation,” DP Ruto tweeted.

Pamoja African Alliance Party (PAA) party led by Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi is also being said to be heading to the Kenya Kwanza side.
