Former President Mwai Kibaki is currently hospitalized in one of the city’s hospitals for what his doctors term as a ”severe pain in the lower abdomen.” The former president who has lived a quiet life, away from the limelight was admitted on June 19th.
“It is a normal visit and there is nothing new. He goes there more often for scheduled check-ups be it once in a month or even twice. So no [cause for] alarm,” said one of the former president’s aides.
The last time Mwai Kibaki was on the headlines was when during Mzee Moi’s body viewing at Parliament Buildings, where the former president was ushered in after all journalists were kicked out of the premises.
