Mzee Jackson Kibor Youngest Wife Stares at Eviction From Matrimonial Home After Hubby’s Burial

Some of the children of late Uasin Gishu tycoon Jackson Kibor have started fights with one of his widows, Eunita Kibor, in a property dispute.

Only a month after the businessman was laid to rest, family feuds have erupted over the land he left behind.

This occurs after the family swore to stay united and peacefully share property during the burial.

Following Kibor’s death, the family reported that their patriarch had brought the family together by dividing his property among his 27 children and widows, with each son receiving 200 acres and the daughters receiving 100 acres each.

However, Eunita now claims that her life is at jeopardy due to a property dispute.

Some family members, she claims, have been at the forefront of insisting she vacate the property.

“Since my spouse died, I haven’t had any serenity. Mzee’s death meant the loss of a husband who cared about me and provided me with security. When Kibor died, the family began to ignore me and treat me differently.

“They started damaging stuff at the Kabenes residence. My life and the lives of my children are now in jeopardy. They’ve been threatening me and demanding that I give up all of my possessions. They don’t want to engage in discourse.”

Despite Kibor’s efforts to divide the property left behind before he died, the widow, who is a mother of four, said the family disagreed on how it should be distributed.

Some family members, she claims, want her to hand over all of the property that was left to her.

“I was told to leave my home, which Mzee had constructed for me. It’s also where he was laid to rest. They think it’s inappropriate for me to inherit my husband’s property, even though Kibor donated it to me.”

She added that she was assaulted by one of the daughters, but no action was taken despite her reporting the incident.

Eunita said she is considering taking the matter to court to get it resolved legally, noting that some of her relatives had already begun messing with land title deeds before Kibor was buried.

“I ask for safety for myself and my children, as well as for the family to choose peace over violence.”

However, one family member who did not want to be identified disputed the charges, claiming that Eunita is damaging the family’s reputation.

Her viewpoint appears to be comparable to Mzee Kibor’s, who was very vocal about his rights and believed in the courts.

There was a time in his lifetime when he and the sons were fighting in court over his estate valued at Ksh6 billion.
