Exhuming of the dead is an abominable act that invokes ancestral wrath, the chairman of Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders, Paul M’ethingia has said.

The late Stephen Mutai

The chairman advised the affected families to be solving their family issues amicably when one of them dies rather than going to the extent of disturbing the dead by exhuming their bodies.
He was responding to the latest incident where one Lee Kimathi, wants the body of former Kenya Tea Development Authority chairman Stephen Mutai Imanyara exhumed to prove he was his biological father through a DNA test.
Kimathi has filed a case at the Meru High Court as he seeks to settle paternity claim to enable him inherit part of property left behind by the dead man.
