ODM not interfering with nominations, SG Sifuna says

The Orange Democratic Movement party is not in the business of interfering with its primaries that are currently ongoing countrywide, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has said.

Sifuna who spoke Tuesday morning during an interview on Radio Taifa called on the party’s supporters to be patient as it carries out nominations in Kisumu today.

“The ODM party has not and will not interfere with nominations in any way. I want thank all ODM members for the peaceful nominations so far. We urge all those participating to maintain peace as we conclude the party nominations,” said ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

ODM is expected to conduct the exercise in Kajiado and Narok Counties Wednesday and in Nairobi on Thursday this week.

He noted that ODM was the only party that has embraced the use of technology for party nominations assuring members that the process shall be free and fair.

“The technology we have cannot be interfered with. We shall open the servers to aspirants who cast doubts on the process,” said Sifuna.

He also called on parties under the Azimio la Umoja coalition party to exercise decorum and restraint when pushing for their interests in the coalition .
