“A driver of a salon car lost control and veered off the road between (Joel Omino-Tom Mboya) on the Ring Road, Nyalenda B and ram into Lake Victoria Primary School.

12 pupils were injured and taken to Nyalenda Health Center with 4 to be referred to a higher-level facility.” Read part of the post.

The authorities have now launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident.

“Traffic police visited the scene and the victims at the health facility. Investigations are ongoing.”

Medical reports by clinician Thomas Otieno of Nyalenda Health Center show that the victims were in a stable condition at the time of publication.

Following this incident, the residents of Nyalenda are now calling on the government to relocate the school since it is too close to the road hence exposing the pupils to extreme road dangers such as accidents.

Also, they raised concerns over dilapidated school infrastructure, suggesting that the government and Ministry of Education should chip in and wire funds for the improvement of structures such as classrooms.
