‘Pastor Encouraged My Hubby to Beat Me Up,’ Mother-in-Law Actress Olive Tearfully Reveals

Former Mother-in-Law actress Idah Alisha alias Olive has expressed her disgust with the church for failing her when she sought help from the pastor.

Olive claims that when she was being abused in her marriage, the pastor told her that if she provoked her husband, she deserved it.

“We went to see the pastor who married us when the abuse continued. After I explained the situation, he stated that if I provoked my husband, he had the right to beat me,” she said during an interview on the Lynn Ngugi YouTube channel. She was crying.

The sentiments by the man of the cloth left her broken.

It is not only the church that let her down, even Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) advised her not to quit the marriage.

“They asked whether I wanted to become public because I was a public figure, and I said no problem as long as I got help. They advised me to return to my area Chief and the pastor, the same pastor who had previously stated that my husband had the right to beat me up,” she narrated.

The went on to say that his ex-husband used her money to buy a car for himself.

“He used to keep track of my money; if I sent money to my mother for shopping, he wanted to know where it went. I remember people saying I had left my ‘wealthy’ husband yet I was the wealthy one in the relationship.”

Alisha says she is still has a relationship with God adding that she decided to seek him directly instead of using pastors.
