What a spectacular tournament this was, definately one for the books. As always, Capital Lifestyle was ‘in the house’ to bring you all the action in pictures.
It was 4 days of fast-paced golfing action that saw Germany’s Esther Henseleit retain her Magical Kenya Ladies Open title after making a dramatic comeback on the tournament’s final round. Esther carded a round of 70 to end her campaign at the event with a 2-under par 286 score to claim the championship.
Against an awe-inspiring breathtaking view of the Baobab Course- Africa’s only PGA-accredited course, Kenya Breweries Limited, through its premium whisky brand Johnnie Walker, put on a show for the ages – setting up an entertainment village that brought to life tournament over the four days of golf action.
An array of top namely deejays Saye, Jackie, Sashy, and Malaika and top leading female artists, Sage Chemutai and Fena Gitu took to the stage to entertain spectators attending the event. They were joined by renowned Capital FM deejays Leo and DJ Adrian. It was truly an unforgettable experience for the fans and golfers as Johnnie Walker served the perfect blend of music, whiskey, and games. Everyone in attendance literally let their hair down and gave it their all, putting their best foot forward, dancing and having a great time.
A quintessential part of this easy-living coastal community is Vipingo Ridge’s Beach Club. It was the perfect venue and setting for the opening night welcoming dinner and dance by the Indian Ocean shores.
It was also a fantastic tournament for networking. The Who’s Who in Govt, political and business communities were in attendance, and mingled freely with everyone. Networking plays a crucial role in growing your brand and increasing its visibility.

Where else do you see impalas, elands, oryxs, water bucks, impalas, zebras and giraffes walking and grazing freely the fairways of a championship PGA Baobab Course offering players a unique golf safari in view of the Indian Ocean? Well, Vipingo Ridge.
It is now home to new species of wildlife – impala, eland, oryx and water buck – as part of the project to create a wildlife sanctuary in this 2,500-acre estate. With animals wandering the fairways during the Magical Kenya Ladies Open, the wildlife elevated the golfers experience making it a truly unique experience.
